My Books: Book Four

Skyres and I have started writing another book for the New Beginning series. At the moment it's called Book 4, but we're working on a title that fits with the rest of the series. If you have any suggestions, leave me a comment.

Book 4, like most of the series, is split into two parts. Part one is after the battle of Somewhere in the Middle. Mika has no memories of Keirlan, or what he did to her while she was in captivity. The only clues she has are the strange scars covering her back. Meanwhile, Amy is pregnant with her first child, and her sisters are worried about the baby being a half-blood. Jackie discovers the newest witch and takes her in as her apprentice, training her to take Madeline's place on the Witch Council.
Heron leaves Ashley to try and bring Serafina back from the Otherworld. Zoey is trying to return to normal life after all the destruction of the battle. She struggles to decide who she will be; a normal girl, or a witch trying to save the world. Celeste and Cameron have left the Cornell coven with Liam, Zach and the Twins. They travel the world, searching for young vampires to join the new coven.

In part two, new discoveries are being made around the globe, all pointing to one thing; Atlantis. When Jackie recognizes the writing in an Atlantian journal to be the witch language she calls the group back together. If the Atlantian's do know of magic, then everyone could be in danger. Unfortunately, many members of the group are unable to join the expidition. It is up to the new members this time.

MyDivaDoll: Shay and Mika

I know it's been awhile, but I finally got around to updating my OhMyDollz and MyDivaDoll accounts.

My MyDivaDoll account is based on Shay from defected. I haven't decided on an official outfit for Shay yet, but I do have her undercover outfit. Check it out here.

My OhMyDollz account is based on Mika. Check it out here. Yes, I realize I haven't told you about Mika yet, but I will now. Mika is the daughter of Jennifer (Spellz) and Jonathan (one of Skyres's characters). Mika is half witch and half Golden. Because of this Mika has a dark side. A very bad dark side. All her life she has battled this darkness, and the evil and depression it causes. Mika is in the last few books of the New Beginning series. Once the New Beginning series is finished I'm going to start working on a book about Mika when she was in school, called Diaries of Darkness.

My Books: Defected

Defected is about a girl named Shay, a government agent. Shay isn't human though, and she doesn't live in the present. Shay lives in the future. In her world there are hover boards and nano-bots, and virtual reality is more life like than real life. There's one more thing you should know about Shay. She's a cyborg.

Every part of Shay is controlled and monitored by a series of microchips in her brain and body. Her senses are stronger than a humans, and she is much more dangerous. Her mind is connected to the Network, which allows her to communicate with her teammates. She can see in infrared, night vision, and anything else she needs.

Then someone hacks the Network, and Shay is no longer in control of herself. Everything she says and does is controlled by someone else. At first there are only minor glitches, but soon Shay is a threat to everyone around her. The government marks her Defected. Suddenly Shay is a fugitive, running for her life from her closest friends, unsure of what is going to happen next, and fighting her own body for control.

My Books: Stolen

Stolen is about four best friends/roommates, Raina, Tara, Kendra and Alicia. One weekend Raina gets stuck babysitting her little sister Chloe. Everything is going fine until Chloe goes missing. The girls get a strange ransom note, and they follow it straight to the kidnappers, Jules and Drake, who capture them. Luckily, Drake turns against Jules and rescues the girls. Then they find out that Drake is hiding something that will change their lives. Drake tells the girls that they are royalty, each the ruler of their own kingdom, and that they have powers that will determine which kingdom is theirs. He also tells them that Jules will stop at nothing to kill them so that he can take over. It's a race against time as the girls try to learn to fight and control their powers before Jules attacks.

UPDATE: Skyres managed to convince me to let her write Stolen with me, so she'll be writing Tara and Alicia. I love having Sky work with me, because while I think of the magic and fantasy, she thinks of the reality. Things such as where the girls live, what they major in (they're in university), and what their families are like never occur to me until Sky points them out.

My Books: Two Worlds

Arianna used to be normal, but not anymore. Now she's a vampire, thirsty for blood and living in the dark of the night. Although she was only turned a few years ago, she barely remembers life before the coven. Every day is a fight for her life as she avoids the sun, human detection, and the violence of the coven. She hates her life, but doesn't know any way out. Then her past comes back to haunt her, and she ends up on the run from the coven that was once her family.

Raksha has never been normal. All her life she's been a vampire, a goddess of the north, feeding on weak travelers and being worshipped by ancient tribes. She never dreamed that one day she wouldn't be able to do what she was made to do. She never thought she'd be on the run, far from where she's lived all her life.

Then the two girls paths cross, and their worlds collide. Suddenly it's hard to tell who's hunting who.

Major Updates

Hey guys! Sorry I've been gone for so long. Since school's started things have been kind of crazy, but I'm back now with tons of new stuff and lots of updates! There's a lot of text though, but bare with me.

First of all Switch has been cancelled. At first it seemed like a good idea, but after a while I realized that it wasn't really going anywhere. I'm really sorry to those of you who wanted to read it, but I just couldn't make it work. I really liked Channing and Demitri though, so I might use them in one of my new books.

That brings me to the next topic: New Books. There are so many of them. Skyres and I loved A New Beginning so much that we've turned it into a trilogy. We haven't come up with a name for the trilogy yet, but the individual books are A New Beginning, Just Another Ending, and Somewhere in the Middle. I'm also working on some things by myself. Two Worlds, Stolen, Defected, After Dark and Elemental are already in the works, and I'm just starting Dark Wolf and Falling. I'll post full descriptions of all these soon.

Next, I found a few new sites that I've been using to make character pictures. Skyres has helped a ton with choosing the best pictures, and I'll be posting them right after the book descriptions are done. I'm also getting ready to update my MyDivaDoll and OhMyDolls accounts, but I can't decide what characters to do. Please leave me a comment with suggestions!

Character Theme Song Videos

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I was at camp. Anyway it's over now, and I'm back with a surprise.

I'm making character theme song videos!!

So, if you have any songs you think would work well with any of my characters, leave me a comment letting me know, and I might include them. As I finish the videos I will post them on YouTube and link to them or embed them on here. It might be a while though because I'm having trouble thinking of any good songs.

Oh, and can anyone think of a character I could use the song Airplanes by B.o.B for? I really like the song but I'm not sure who it would fit. Let me know.

Improv Writing: Introduction

I just came up with a really great idea. Do yo want to hear it? I'm going to tell you even if you don't. I thought it would be cool to do some of what I call "Improv Writing", meaning I will write something off the top of my head, on the spot, with no prior planning. Fun, right? Well it gets better. You guys get to decide what I write! Yay!

So just leave me a comment telling me what you want me to write. For example, if you said something like this:
Could you write an epic battle scene involving ray guns and axes?
I would write this:

Our hero Skyres is trapped, being tortured against her will. Suddenly, the wall explodes, and in steps Skyreses best friend Nicole, her ray gun still smoking. She tosses Skyres an axe to cut her bonds, and Skyres quickly reaches for her own ray gun. The enemy is cowering in fear at the sight of their pure awesomeness.

Conspiracy Theories: The Dentist

Hi! I'm freaking out because I have to go to the dentist. Now, for most people this isn't a problem, but for me it is. You see, I'm working on this theory that my dentist is an alien. Yes, an alien. I have proof!

1.He gives you stickers and toothbrushes, even if you're an adult.
2.The toothbrushes are green! You may not think this strange, but it is well known that the favourite colour of aliens is green.
3.He is a dentist. That's proof enough for me.
4.The fluoride is always mint flavoured. And mint is green!
5.He has TVs on the ceilings. Normally that would be cool, but they always seem to be playing TV shows from the 80's.

Anyway, I'll update you later on whether or not he experiments on my brain. Of course I probably won't remember, but still.

So, I wasn't brainwashed, or abducted, or anything. And I was probably wrong about my dentist being an alien, but you know me. I'm paranoid.

Anyway, it's the last full day of school for me. I have to do exams, and them I am completely free! Woo!

Conspiracy Theories: The World Hates Me

Hey people! Tomorrow is my birthday!!! Actually, I'm at my birthday party right now, so my friends are all here. Say hi guys! They said hi. Anyway, today I was thinking about the way the world toatally hates me. I have proof!!!

1.My friend got me a new Ipod case, and it looks totally awesome, but I broke it. And, the plug for my Ipod speakers doesn't fit with it on. I have a picture of it so that you can see how sad it is that it doesn't work.

2.The guy I like asked out my best friend yesterday.
3.I have two major projects due on Monday and I won't have time to work on them because of my party.
4.I tripped over a balloon. Yes, a balloon. I'm the most unco-ordinated person on earth.
5.There are bugs in my house.
6.I have had major writers block all week. It is very irritating.
7.One of my friends is a vampire overlord. Not kidding. The rest of my friends are just plain crazy. Don't worry, I am too.
8.They deleted most of my favourite youtube videos.
9.I failed my french test.
10.They spelled my name wrong in the yearbook.

Anyway, there are a lot more reasons, but I'm too lazy to think of anymore right now. I'll update later if I do. See ya.

A New Beginning 2

Hi everyone! I'm back and not tired anymore. I got about thirteen hours of sleep last night. Anyway, I'm going to do a real post today.

Last week Skyres came up with a brilliant idea. I told her that she was already writing too many stories, but she insisted. So together, we turned Skyres's idea into A New Beginning 2. Yes, we need to come up with a better name, but the idea is epic. Part 1 is about what happens after A New Beginning. The battle is over, lives lost, and everyone returns home. Well, kind of. Some people break away from their families to go with others, and some head for new places.

Jennifer returns to her school, where she will soon be graduating, and has to decide what to do with the rest of her life. Is she really ready to leave the only place that has ever truly been her home? The place where her first love died?

Amy, her sisters, and their soulmates go to the Golden kingdom to unlock the secrets of their past.

Celeste and Cameron return home to their family, unsure of what to do next. After their adventure, normal life seems so boring.

Kaya reluctantly goes back to T.A.F.P.H.E. to take command of her own team, but she wonders, is this really what she wants to do?

In Part 2, twenty years have passed, and everyone has settled down. Then Zoafye sends a cry for help, and the group must once again gather to assist her. With some new characters, and some exciting changes to the old ones, it is sure to be another interesting adventure.

Mad World - Gary Jules I just heard this song tonight, and I totally love it. It's song calming.
Neutron Star Collision - Muse This song is on the Eclipse soundtrack, and I think the video is really cool.
Lose Control - Evanescence One of my fave evanescence songs.
Kerosene - Miranda Lambert I love how upbeat this song is. It makes me want to dance.
The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert This song is so soft and sweet, and it makes me kind of sad when I hear it, but I still love it.
4ever - The Veronicas This is one of me and my friends fave songs. It's so awesome.

Hi! I didn't make it past the first round. Sad. But I'm good with it. Anyway, I thought my audition went really well, and I had lots of fun. It was an experience I wouldn't have missed for the world.
Tip 4. Stay calm. It's a bit scary at first, but if you're confident you can do it.
5. Give it your best shot. Put your heart and soul into the song and you'll do well.
6. Don't be discouraged, even if you don't make it. There will be other chances. Remember, Never Give Up!

The Next Star

Hey everyone! I still haven't registered but at least I'm not tired at all anymore. Adamo, the host, has been walking around interviewing people (not me yet) but I have been on camera a few times. You might not be able to see me very well, but still. I'm having lots of fun and I've been practicing while I wait. I'm singing Bubbly by Collbie Callait and Hallelujah by Kate Voegele. Oh, it's almost my turn to register! Later!

The Next Star Tips Part 1

So right now I'm sitting in a waiting room waiting to register. It's about 6:50am, I'm dead tired, but luckily I'm not too nervous. I thought throughout the day I would post some tips.
1. Get lots of rest the night before! You have to get up early.
2. Get there ahead of time. The website says they open at six, but sometimes they let people in before that. It also helps if you're staying at or near the place auditions are being held.
3. Bring something to entertain yourself, like a book or your Ipod. It's a long, long wait.

The Next Star

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted for awhile, but I have a very good reason. Who here (besides my best friends who read my blog) have heard about the TV show The Next Star? Well, it's a singing competition for Canadians 15 or under, and I'm auditioning for it tomorrow! I've been really busy all week practicing for it, and I'm so excited that I get this once in a lifetime opportunity. On Monday I'll tell you all how I did!

Just in case you don't know who Serifina is, she is a witch with a calling for healing, just like Jackie. Unfortunately, Serifina died before Jackie was born, but she was one of the most talented healers of all time. She was good friends with Julien and Heron, even though the other witches didn't approve. Now though, she is Jackie's gaurdian angel.
